Course Overview

This course introduces students to the complete research process through the AP Research framework. Students learn how to formulate meaningful research questions, evaluate academic literature, design research methodologies, and communicate research findings through written and oral presentations.

The course emphasizes inquiry-based learning and guides students in developing independent research proposals while strengthening critical thinking, quantitative reasoning, and academic writing skills.

  • Research Questions and Problem Identification
  • Literature Review and Academic Sources
  • Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods
  • Research Ethics and Academic Integrity
  • Data Collection and Basic Statistical Analysis
  • Research Proposal Development
  • Scientific Presentation and Communication

Teaching Philosophy

I believe research should be learned through practice rather than memorization. Students are encouraged to ask meaningful questions, evaluate evidence critically, and develop their own research ideas through an iterative process of inquiry, reflection, and revision.

By integrating quantitative reasoning with project-based learning, the course aims to build both research competence and intellectual curiosity.
